New podcast series!
My fabulous multimedia team has been busting ass 24/7 and tonight I’m proudly launching a new weekly video podcast series that will last well into… well… the foreseeable future!
Tonight we release the first in the series, which includes a personal intro I shot on my iSight, as well as excerpts from my soon to be released DVD, ‘The Sole Inhabitant.’
If you have a video iPod you can subscribe to the series via RSS. If you don’t, you can still view the episodes on your PC just by clicking on the link.
We’ll be updating the series every week. Future episodes will feature footage that’s not even available on the DVD, including video footage from the show at Martyrs in Chicago in May of this year.
You can download the first episode here and watch it in your browser. Or subscribe to the podcast series through iTunes!

Wow, wow, wow! Thanks so much! This is something exciting to look forward to each week! Certainly will make us eager for the upcoming release. Great to see you in good form, spirits and humor, and it’s fun to see the video and visual effects spread throughout. It’s such a treat to see you mix live as you do with Airhead in this podcast. If you’ll excuse one very off topic quesiton, but I’m a bit of a watch fanatic, and am curious about the great looking timepiece you’re wearing. Can you share some information about that?

Two great treats in one day…got my tix to the Red Devil Lounge and now a podcast! Thanks so much Thomas. Now I just have to hope I get a magic receipt when I buy the DVD at the show! I also heard you are going to get some money out of KFed…planning on naming your boat Popazao?

Very tasty preview of things to come here! The Airhead build-up is great fun! I’m also thrilled to see that you’re doing the full version of Flat Earth (not just the instrumental version that you highlighted from the TED show)… one of your songs that always puts my head on straight. Many thanks for continuing to give and give to your fans.

BRAVO!
You are truly a man of extremes. We finally get to the other side of the Dolby desert that seemed to go on for ever and ever.. Now I feel like I’m drowning !
More of the same. You rock!

Without intending melodrama, I’d say that the phrase “Dream Come True” is reasonably accurate for this creative development. (Before this year, Dolby-wise, I haven’t been so chuffed since Dive! opened.) Congratulations!

Fantastic. This is how a website should be run. Pioneering. Superb. You are a true gent, Mr Dolby.

Hehe , pretty cool Thomas. I left a post in the forum saying how when people post video blogs talking to really no one to a single webcam, they remind of those SF scenerios where at some remote polar research station the last survior,( after some mysterious force has caused everyone else to go missing ) leaves the final log entry … “Sole Inhabitant” indeed
B/W too!

Awesome podcast/tour trailer. And what’s really cool is that it’s shorter than the typical :15 and :30 minute podcasts out there. (Not sure if they will all be this length), but I like how it plays against the typical format.

It’s so nice to see you again, Thomas!
It’s also great to see and
Speaking

Groove, man, groove!!
Lovvvve that
hear the way you put songs together–”One of Our Submarines”
sounds GREAT, and “The Flat Earth” has a sort of light, refreshing
airiness to it, like oxygen–breathe in, breathe out.
of breathing, that sort of monosyllabic, chopped-up [CamelSpace,
right?
“Airhead” is very neat. Kinda reminds me of a section of
“Hyperactive”, shortly before Adele Bertei starts to sing her
unique solo.
cowbell-thing in “Science”, too.
And you’re gonna be gifting us with one of these yummy podcasts
every WEEK?! Bl**dy marvellous, is all I can say, and thank you
so much for all that you do for us!!!
Peace and white hot chocolate,

Gosh, I never realize how many ‘smilies’ I’ve put in until I post…
they’re not as noticeable while they’re still just semicolons and
brackets and stuff…tee hee!
Note to self: stop that! *hee hee hee hee snort*
Peace, and rampant smiley addiction [mine!],

Neat video Thomas! I enjoyed your concert at the Birchmere last spring. I’m looking forward to the CD/DVD and possibly new Dolby music next year. Great to see you returning to the music scene again. Best of luck with the Nov./Dec. tour. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it to a show since you won’t be playing around here this time around, but I’ll look into it.
